Final post - Review of our presentation

Here is my reflection on the module and our groups presentation and work:

Firstly the class sessions
These were quite informative I liked the idea of jack the ripper in music and films to show just how widespread the fascination with the ripper is. I think the field trip to London would have made me a lot more interested in the module, however I can see it is hard getting 40something students down to London.

Secondly, our group as a whole
For this I feel that we did not have the urgency straight away to actually write on the blog which was a problem, however I am pleased with what we finally came up with although it proved somewhat difficult to get everyone to contribute equally. Also the subject we had chosen seemed hard to research but we managed to focus well and get some good information into our presentation.

Thirdly, My research
I think I have definately made my effort with the work load and contributed to the blog very well and with getting people together to actually put all of our ideas into the final product. Although finding useful sources for the subject we had proved difficult I think I gave a good amount of usefullness in my research.

Fourth, doing the presentation
Putting the whole thing together took a lot longer than I had anticipated but once we got everyone together as a group our ideas managed to flow and it was not such a burden. Doing the presenatation was generally good as we knew when to talk and we all followed a script. Nerves were present as with most groups but I think we managed to over come this and perform quite well. Also I think we had a good amount of knowledge in the presentation along with hints of humour which I think is quite important.

Thats my analysis and my final post, thanks Lynsey, Sammie-Jane and Oliver nice working with you!

Tom
